Career

She became a regional weather presenter for ITV in 2001, covering the Yorkshire, Granada, Tyne Tees and Border regions.[3][4] Though forecasts for some regions were broadcast without an in-vision presenter until 2002.

In February 2009 ITV regional weather was reorganised so that each region had dedicated weather presenters. Blythe moved from ITV Yorkshire in Leeds, to ITV Granada in Manchester,[5] though appearing primarily on Granada she occasionally provides cover on Central. She no longer appears on Border, Tyne Tees or Yorkshire.

Between 2006 and 2008, she was a relief weather presenter, for the ITV National Weather.[6]

In addition to weather forecasting, Blythe has also presented and contributed to non-news regional programming in the aforementioned ITV regions. She was voted the 4th best weather girl in the 2006 FHM Bloke Awards.
